I'm not an XSI user, but thought others might be interested in seeing this.

This looks pretty cool, it is a plugin for Mac OS X and Apple Motion 2 or 3.
Very cool concepts!

Pixar has made a web site with their papers and articles available online:
http://graphics.pixar.com/index.html
There is a bunch of stuff there that can be applicable to the future extensions of Particle Flow.
Thanks,

Hello all,
Does anyone know what happened to Aura?
Or what about Fuel (the afterburn version)

Have fun, Rob
hey all
i recently started a new job, only thing is, 3dsmax isn't really a option here:( We use XSI as our main tool, but as we all know XSI's particles suck
soo my other options are houdini or maya, which is better all round for VFx? i guess there is also the learning curve, is houdini's steep?
thx

Here's the link at the site of the makers of Particle Illusion:

Particle Illusion is quite interesting 2D particle effects tool. It has very large libraries of presets.
Thanks,
Oleg B.
Good site with a lot of natural phenomena footage:

For example, try to search with the keyword 'lava'. Kudos to Pete Draper for supplying the link.
Thanks,

Ok, I've heard this being talked about quite a bit and it really interests me. I know basically what it does but I don't know the tech facts about it. I know that you'll be able to render up to millions and maybe even billions of particles. Also does it like ingnore other geometry in the scene or what? Heres a link that I found that does similar things.

Computer Graphics World magazine has a review about Particle Flow in 3ds max 6.
