Hi Oleg,
one question about #2
PhysX is unfortunately not yet for 64bit, I have heard.
According to nvidia, a 64-bit SDK are available in Summer 2009.
Can you say something about that?
Thanks  |

Box#2 with PhysX works on both 32- and 64-bit, regardless whether 64-bit PhysX SDK is available or not. Box#2 has a proprietary SDK wrapper that extends PhysX usage to 64-bit platforms.
Thanks,
Oleg B. |

Oleg,
Box #2 is now postponed?
Are there problems? When can we expect?
A new month, but no box # 2
Thanks
Michael |

Hi Oleg,
oh yeah,
I have already seen, super
That´s great, really great Box #2.
Looking forward to buy it
But, i have seen....
Particle Flow Tools: Box#2 Pro:
" Host Version: 3ds max R9 -> 2010, 32- and 64-bit;
Not compatible with 3ds max 64-bit on Vista 64, WinXP 64 is okay;
Requires Creativity Extension for 3ds max 2009 "
Why is it not compatible with Vista 64Bit Oleg?
Fortunately, I have XP 64bit
Thank you
Michael

As you may know, PhysX SDK is only available in 32-bit at the moment - that restricts the usage of PhysX drivers in 32-bit applications only. Nevertheless, we (Orbaz) were able to create a special PhysX wrapper to allow the usage of PhysX drivers in 64-bit application, like 3ds max 64-bit. The whole construct is like a wolf in sheep's clothing. The trick works in WinXP 64. However, Vista 64 is very paranoid, and it does not allow that. That's where the restriction is coming from. Once NVIDIA releases the true 64-bit PhysX SDK, the limitation will be lifted.
So, the plug-in is compatible with 3ds Max 32-bit on Vista 64, but not with 3ds Max 64-bit on Vista 64. All other combinations work. Don't know about Win 7 64-bit.
Thanks,
Oleg B. |

Isn't there any workaround for this? This is terrible, our workstations all have Vista Ultimate 64 |
