Have I missed somthing?

The otherday a colleuge of mine showed my this.
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=5640639&postcount=4805%20http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=5675040&postcount=8

It looks very exciting and I wanted to know more, what better place to look for information than this? But I couldn't find any (did a couple of searches)

Is there any reason why this wasn't posted here first?

Ignore this post, if I just missed the thread on this site.

No worries mate Smile

The Important thing, is that Box#2 is becoming less of a myth, and more like a fact.

Plz. Keep us updated.

Definitely less of a myth Smile It has some fantastic features though. Here're few animations from alpha/beta testing:

FlexibleBinding01.zip
FlexibleBinding02.zip
FlexibleBinding03.zip
FlexibleBinding05.zip
FlexibleBinding06.zip
FlexibleBinding07.zip
RigidBinding01.zip
RigidBinding02.zip
RigidBinding05.zip
RigidBinding03.zip
RigidBinding06.zip
FlexibleBinding12.zip
pskinner15.zip
pskinner16.zip

Since the animations are from beta testing, they do have minor visual artifacts.

The release date for Box#2 is March; more like the end of March. The plug-in has 12 new PFlow operators and 2 new Data sub-operators for tight integration with Box#3, however you don't need Box#3 in order to use Box#2. The commercial release will be compatible with 3ds Max 9 through 2010, both 32- and 64-bit platforms. Price point is on par with Box#3.

These are looking truly amazing, especially the constraints, and that firm, soon-ish release date rocks!

There is a slight delay with the release date.

Meanwhile, a little animation to illustrate one of the abilities of the upcoming release; courtesy of Jordan Walsh (Zero One Animation) - Glass_Smash_Slime.mov (0.7MB). 3ds Max + Box#2; no other third-party plug-ins were used.

Thanks,
Oleg B.

This is Particle Skinner in action; part of Box#2. The upcoming plug-in has a couple of OSM modifiers - to have more fun with particles and regular objects.

Thanks,
Oleg B.

Oleg, this looks amazing! I never expected a max plugin to give me excitement on the level of surfing Ron Fedkiw's website. I hope the release isn't too far away!!
